Are you allowing yourself to fall apart with age? Or rather deteriorate with age? Are you accepting the ‘curse’
it’s age and I ‘m getting older and that is just what happens?
Where is your resolve to fight for staying as youthful as possible? Do you really want to accept the idea that you can’t just because you are a few years older?
Did you know that we are supposed to live to 150 years? Who would want that with the decrepit state so many of us get into?
Are you a “rebel”? Do you consider yourself part of the crowd or do you take your own path?
What have you done or not done in your life to allow your physical ability to get into the shape it is? What keeps you from making a change to slow up the aging process?
There certainly are things that are going to decline with age – some you may not be able to do lots and lots about. If you know you can do physical things to reduce the rate of your inabilities of aging — WHY neglect them anymore?
Perhaps this is not the way you see it at all.. So let’s get clear on what my focus is..
AGING: Loss of strength, balance, endurance, flexibility and posture. Increase in blood pressure, cholesterol, greater chance of degenerative disease such as arthritis, heart attack, stroke and dementia.
Simply put, look after yourself ( and fitness has been proven to help out in all the above areas -PLEASE don’t neglect that nutrition plays a HUGE role in the aging process also!!)s so you can be the healthiest possible for your future!
You can be healthier by just- walking, using some weights, doing some stretching, taking some time for yourself and eating well— ARE YOU?
I know that I am so happy that I have the background and experience that I do. I can’t imagine where I would turn if I didn’t know what I do today, in terms of what to do for exercise and working out for me.
What about you? Do you feel that you know enough about what to do for your health that you can do a great job? Do you think that it is that simple to figure out what you need without consulting someone who is more educated in that area?
Do you go somewhere to learn your internet marketing, or your SEO optimization? What about if you are a Network Marketer? Do you just find the info and do it, or do you find yourself a mentor and coach?
Is your health and fitness level important enough to you to take the time do some in depth learning to get what you need? Hire someone who knows more or has lots of experience?
I know that I hire coaches to help me with the things that I don’t know much about and need to learn. Picking up a book just isn’t the same as being mentored by someone? What about you?
I would really love to hear from you. What is it that YOU need for your health and fitness? What do you do, or what lengths do you go to, to be the best you can be physically?

Hey Holly
That is food for thought. Please pardon the pun. Yes I do need to take more action. Yea I eat right most of the time and do yoga, but I know I need to get back to Pilates class to have my saggy over 40 butt whipped!lol One thing is good though and that’s being over 40 w/ a six year old who loves being active. Channeling that activeness into sports and also into things we can do together and as a family are all rewarding. I know this momma won’t be sitting around at 60 wishing she could still do all the things her younger friends can do!

Great for you Melody! Yes being over 40 and having a 6 year old is going to keep you active. Now get to that Pilates class and whip that butt into shape!! No saggys here!! LOL
There is just nothing we can do with getting old. I have always been afraid of old age, but when I thought about age and thought about being young forever, that would simply means my children would stay kids forever.

Yeah, not sure I would want to have children stay kids forever!! Great point! I however emphasize that allowing yourself to get immobile and inactive is preventable. No one is going to be able to avoid the aging, you are correct. If we work at it so it isn’t so hard on us ( too much deterioration of the body) we can live a life of higher quality rather than the dying too long! You know, not able to move very well, having others do things for us can we can’t or not knowing who we are or who our kids are. Thanks for stopping by Maxine.
Hi Holly,
At this point of my life, age is becoming a bit of a pressure for me. I’m in my mid twenties and I feel like I should do something about my body now so that I could maintain it as I grow older. I went to the gym before but I stopped because of time constraint. I bought some weights so that I can continue my routines at the gym. I also jog whenever I can, and eat healthy foods as much as possible.
Way to go Calli!! The sooner you start the better! Keep at it and you will love the results and the benefits!!
Although at times it’s really hard to find the time I try to incorporate exercise with my children into our daily routine

It can be challenging to make the time… But it is so important. Just know that when you live it you are also helping your children learn it. Then it won’t be so tough for them to learn it later! Great work Underde.
Holly,
You are awesome! You help motivate us all with your words of wisdom and example of staying young and energetic! I’m very thankful for all that you’ve given me! It all started with the desk exercise videos you shared months ago, that was the beginning of my strength-building. Even with MS, I feel myself getting better. I don’t have any idea why, am I feeling better so I exercise, or am I exercizing so I feel better? No matter, I feel great and I’ll keep excercising!

Thanks Linda!! You are a great cheer leader!! Looking forward to hearing more about how it works for you!
Aloha Holly,
Age is a state of mind. It’s funny cause when I was young, being 50 sounded very old and now that I have reached the “age”, I can honestly say I feel better than I did when I was a teenager! And it is because I get good nutrition and okay, yes I do my best to exercise and stretch…I know, I know, not enough …but then again I know who to go to and now I know how to stretch when I am at my computer because I watched your video series!
Thank you for being a constant reminder for us who are “glued” to the computer!
Much love,
Kellie

You go girl!! Yes proper nutrition and exercise is it!! Keep at it and you will maintain what you have. One day we will work on making you stronger!! You up for that? Great to hear from you Kellie!
Here’s a modified Shakespeare, “What’s in the age?” and then the rhetoric, “Age is in the heart.”. Both there statement are true and false. ‘False’ because, there are obviously things which become difficult as you age. Walking up those stairs, doing your cardio or going on a trek, they are quite same. But if you are young at heart, you can still dance with the same enthusiasm, the audience can still connect with you.
And Holly, you’re right; there are things which need to be done with professional help and proper training. Else, it could also be disastrous.

The mind has a huge part to do with how one does!! Yes, truly the mind is powerful. I am still not convinced that if we don’t look after ourselves that we will always be physically able. Strength doesn’t just happen! Thanks Kevin!
