Whatever you do in terms of action, do it daily. Yes every day. Is it necessary to rest one day? I don’t think it is. I don’t think that you have to have a heavy duty workout every day, but you have to be mobile and active doing something daily.
I am going to share 3 good reasons why you should do daily activity!
The 3 reasons are:
1. It will make a difference in your physical body, probably more quickly noted in your physiological body. Blood chemistry especially. I am going to even hazard a guess that with a little bit of activity (exercise) and some food changes you will be able to get off your prescription drugs. If walking 20 minutes a day can cut your risk of stroke by 57% why wouldn’t you move it daily? So exercise/move/ get active daily for your body.
2. It will make a difference in your brain chemistry. If you exercise you release endorphins and you also trigger the release of dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine. All mood enhancing brain chemicals to some degree. Why wouldn’t you want to feel mentally better? Do it daily for your state of mind!
3. And this one is the most exciting of all. Exercise or activity or getting oxygen to your brain while moving is so good for you. They call it cognitive candy!! Nothing speeds the brain atrophy more than not doing anything. People who exercise outperform couch potatoes in tests that measure long term memory, reasoning, attention and problem solving.
People are more productive once they have had an activity break! Children have better attention spans and work more focused when they get activity breaks.
So you have 3 reasons to spread the rumor about why you need to move every day. Doing it daily!
So Monday you can do the activity for your body, Tuesday for your state of mind and then Wednesday for your intelligence and productivity. Let’s say Thursday you are having a bit of an unhappy day so you get out and get mobile for your state of mind then Friday you want to be more productive. Then you kick up your heels Saturday night for your physical body and Sunday your physiological body. Ta da!! Daily Activity!
Do you need any other excuses? It is imperative that you move. If there are so many benefits and if a little is good, then a bit more ( daily) is better, do it daily!
